"Somewhere along the way, we must learn that there is nothing greater than to do something for others.”

One day Patti Morin and Michelle Harrington realized they had a lot in common, which inspired them to join together and create the Michelle and Patti Collaborative.

Both Michelle and Patti had experienced tragedy - Michelle the loss of her sister Katy to cancer and Patti the loss of her youngest child, Ellie, to drug overdose, and both sought to find a place to channel their heartache. As a result, and with a bit of good luck, they became involved helping homeless individuals. For each of them, what started as a small act of kindness spiraled into something more.

When they realized they shared a similar mission and vision, they decided to join forces and see what they could do to help more of the city’s homeless population and to get more people involved in the helping!

Now Michelle and Patti are working together to make a greater impact.

Homeless adults at Pine Street Inn, New England’s largest homeless services provider, homeless teens at Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Boston’s only shelter for homeless, at risk, and runaway teens, and homeless individuals on the streets of Boston are most often the recipients of their efforts.

Michelle and Patti have both witnessed that a little love can go a long way. and both believe that the ripple effect of kindness is real!

They are working hard to get more business and corporate involvement and more individual involvement.

More than anything they desire to share with others the blessings that come from helping others.
