Elizabeth was raised in New York City by parents who were community service champions. From an early age she learned the important lesson of lending a helping hand. In particular, Elizabeth was very involved in Headstart and other social programs. Equality has always be one of Elizabeth’s core beliefs.

Promoting tolerance, empathy, and kindness has always been important to Elizabeth. As a library trustee in the town of Pelham NH, she started the young adult area and was instrumental in getting a new library built. Equity in the public library system was very important to her. Elizabeth is a life-long educator and taught social studies and was an adjunct in psychology at Pelham High School for twenty years. At Pelham she brought those same principles of tolerance, empathy and kindness into the classroom. She was well-loved by her students and was known as one of those teachers who really cared.

Elizabeth met Patti at Pelham High School and after Patti started Project Ellie, she knew she wanted to get involved. She has been one of Project Ellie’s main cheerleaders, and was instrumental in its evolution by giving Patti a platform to try out ideas with her students. Elizabeth is an idea generator with great insight into students’ interests and perspective.
