On December 21, 2011 my daughter Ellie Morin tragically accidentally overdosed. She was 20 years old.
In an effort to find something positive to do on the anniversary of my daughter's passing, my family and I initiated Project Ellie. On December 21, 2014, two years after Ellie had passed, my family and I roamed the streets of Boston for the first time, giving out gift bags filled with hats, gloves, gift cards, and food items to homeless people we encountered. We were seeking to honor Ellie and to foster healing
